Our commitment has enabled us to provide uninterrupted service and uniquely increase our capabilities to maintain the best-in-class experience our residents expect.
The Millennia is committed to the safety of our staff, residents, and visitors, and as such has implemented a series of COVID-19 safety protocols detailed below.
By adhering to guidance from New York State, the CDC, and state and local public health agencies, and with input from our own in-house experts, these protocols have brought a sense of security and safety to our community. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping to maintain a healthy and safe environment.
Room Service for Isolated Tenants
Should any tenant be required to quarantine in their residence, we offer doorside delivery for food service and garbage removal.
EPA Listed Disenfectants
All public spaces, especially high-touch areas like elevators and restrooms, are frequently disinfected with EPA-listed products specifically indicated for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Cleaning Strategies by Surface Type
Specific tools are utilized as part of normal cleaning practices for surfaces known to be particularly receptive to SARS-CoV-2.
Additional Specialty Cleaning
The fitness center, social rooms, lobby, and common areas are disinfected routinely and subject to detailed in-depth cleaning.
Touchless Hand Sanitizer
Touchless hand sanitizers are installed at over 20 locations, including elevators, stairs, the fitness center, and social rooms.
Increased Air Purification
Common area HVAC ducts have been fitted with MERV-13 filters to purify and remove very fine airborne contaminants. In addition, Ultraviolet lights have been installed in these air ducts feeding common areas.
Employee Health Monitoring
All building staff and visitors are assessed upon entering the building for symptoms, and their temperatures are taken using a highly accurate wall mounted touchless thermometer. Clear and concise escalation protocols will be used if and when there is a confirmed COVID-19 case in the building, respecting the need for privacy while keeping the health and safety of our residents, guests, and workers a priority.
Usage of Facilities
Amenities are limited to 20% capacity and require reservations via our online booking system. Wrist bands are issued to track usage of the facilities and are assigned to visitors and workers who pass the screening.
Residents are advised to only use elevators with members of their own families. Elevator sharing with more than two families is prohibited. Stairs are also open and easily accessible.
Our 24/7 concierge service acts as a buffer for our tenants to manage deliveries and reduce exposure/contact. Tenants are notified via email, mobile app, and a delivery dashboard in the lobby if a package is awaiting pickup.
Building workers must wear face masks for all service calls. Prior to entering a residence, technicians will ask if everyone is healthy. If a resident is ill, the appointment will be rescheduled, unless it is an emergency.
